CONTENT IS KING: WHY YOU STILL NEED TO WRITE YOUR OWN MATERIAL
IT MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE AND I PROMISE YOU IT’S WORTH IT
It’s 3 months till Christmas and I’m still trying to wrap my head around that! I’m going to be “on the move” through till the end of the year so I’ll be taking a short pause from my blog! The good news is, I’ll be spending the time doing more research and working with more teams across Asia, Europe and the USA so I’ll have lots of great presenting and communication insights for you once I’m back from the whirlwind!
For my last tip before I take a pause, I wanted to leave you with a short snippet from my chat with Gofaone Modise. This was from an instagram LIVE discussion we had between Singapore and Botswana!
Over the past few blog posts, we’ve talked about relatability, humanising the experience, warmth and authenticity. These are the qualities of a strong communicator. People who can do this well have a real ability to influence.
But content is always KING! And the best way to truly let your content shine is to write it yourself! You have to know your material so well because only then can you truly relax and freestyle. You have to be invested in the topic for it to resonate. Once you combine all these elements, you have a great shot at getting your audience to care and to act!
